User Reviews about Kata KT DR-465-BR Digital Rucksack for 2 Digital SLRs with Mounted Lens - 3-4 Lenses - Flash - Accessories and Personal Gear (Black Red)
This is a great little camera bag. It's "non-descript" so that you're not screaming "COME STEAL MY STUFF!" I am able to pack two of my cameras neatly (you have to place them "just right") with room for an extra lens and flash. It has smaller pockets for those small things that "get lost" like memory cards, connector wire or batteries. It's nicely padded and comfortable to wear. It cannot fit any writing pads over 5x7 or laptops--the compartments are too shallow for that. I have a 3x5 little pad for any notes I need to take. The price was just right for this item. I put my wallet in my pocket and just go.... -- Camera Backpack
There is plenty of room in this pack for all of your DSLR needs.
We use our pack quite a bit and it has done a great job of keeping our camera gear clean and safe.
The pack is light weight and you tend to forget you are wearing it. -- Good Product
This ruck is exactly what I was looking for. I got a Pentax K-x and a couple lenses and was looking for something that could hold my new camera along with my other electronics toys (including a 17" laptop). This ruck fits everything well and it feels protected as its stored. Its made of a sturdy and quality material. The weight distribution is great and everything feels balanced. Also the color scheme is classy and fun. Could not be happier. -- Awesome Ruck
I recently became the proud Canon owner of the 50D dSLR, 70-200mm 4.0L IS series zoom as well as the 24-70mm 2.8L series zoom. I needed a camera bag which would be discrete especially for travel. And I needed the same bag to be versatile enough to carry & protect my basic camera gear. Although, I will have to keep the 24-70 2.8L mounted for stowage purposes. The 70-200 4.0L IS will store nicely in the upper compartment.
The Kata 465 fits my requirements to a tee! It is not too small as I still have plenty of room for a Canon G9, filters, accessories, et al. This will be excellent for my twice a year trips to Hawaii as well as as my once a year Birthday trip to wherever. As my business requires light photography work as well when travelling internationally, I know this bag will travel well.
This is a great purchase. And I am glad I did not settle for some of the other camera bags out there.
And by the way, Adorama is terrific with their delivery & service. I will trust my photography purchases with them always. -- Searched High & Low for a Discrete yet Functional Travel Camera Bag
I got this bag about two years ago before my wife and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. We did a ton of hiking in pretty hot weather and never got too overheated from the backpack (often with camera, two lenses, several full bottles of water, small first aid kit, jackets, etc.). We live in Brooklyn and do a fair amount of walking around the city and this bag is perfect if we're heading out for the day.
Pros:
- Fits a lot of stuff (camera with lens on, plus two extra lenses, laptop, lots of random stuff in the top compartment)
- Organizes everything really well, so everything is easy to access
- Distributes the weight very well so it's very comfortable to wear for long periods of time (even when it's warm out)
- The top compartment holds a lot of stuff, plus it's shape is held pretty well because of the padded lower portion, so you can put relatively delicate stuff in there (a bag of mom-made chocolate chip cookies easily survived cross-country travel)
- It doesn't look too much like a camera bag, so it doesn't draw too much attention.
- Great size for carrying on when traveling.
- The three zipper compartments on the top outside are really convenient for cell phones/mp3 players/etc.
Cons:
- Very little "vertical storage" space -- plenty space for one laptop or a few folders, but don't think you'll be able to fit a couple textbooks in there. -- Great bag for hiking or bumming around town
