This hood is a great alternative to Canon's hood and you have a least 15 bucks!

I'm not happy with the way the hood fits on the lens - it takes a bit of finessing and I'm concerned about snapping off part of the plastic track. Once it's on it seems fine. It is half the price of the Canon hood, though, and it is "just a piece of plastic" as another reviewer stated. -- Okay and a bargain.

The hood works well, with just a small amount of play on the canon lens. No problems with its function, so it is worth buying and saving some money as compared to the pricier Canon hood. -- Good Lens Hood
